1tablespoonolive oilavocado oil, or grape seed oil
1 ½lbs.salmonskin-off, cut into 1 ½ inch cubes
lemon slices to serve
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper. With the air fryer basket installed, preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, gently whisk together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, cumin, salt, and cayenne until combined.
Add the salmon to the seasoning mixture and gently toss until covered in the mix.
Brush the bottom of the air fryer basket with the oil. Spread half of the salmon out in the basket and air fry for 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon has cooked through to an internal temperature of 145 and flakes easily with a fork. Gently remove salmon out on the basket and place on the prepared cookie sheet. Place in the warmed oven.
Add the remaining salmon to the air fryer basket and air fry for 4-5 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy, easily flakes with a fork.
Serve the fish hot with lemon slices to serve.
Notes
Leftovers keep covered in an airtight container for 1-2 days. They do not freeze well.
Air fryers run at different temperatures and strengths, for best results, check the internal temperature of the fish at 4 minutes and add on cooking time as needed.
