2cupsor 240g all-purpose flour + additional flour for dusting the kneading surface

Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the dry yeast, warm water, and sugar together until combined. Let sit for 5-10 minutes, or until the mixture starts to look frothy.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, stir ½ cup of the flour into yeast mixture at a time, fully incorporating the flour into the liquids between additions. As the dough gets thicker, you may want to switch to mixing with your hands. Alternatively, you can also stir the dough together in a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment.
Turn the dough out onto a flour-dusted surface and knead for 5-10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic, sprinkling and kneading in extra all-purpose flour as needed to keep the flour from sticking to the counter or your hands. If using the stand mixer, knead the dough with the dough hook attachment on medium speed for 5-10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
Clean out the mixing bowl, spray or coat it with olive oil or canola oil, and add the dough to the bowl. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for 1 ½ hours, or until doubled in size.
Punch the dough down and turn the dough out onto a flour-dusted surface. Shape the dough into a round loaf. Brush the bottom and bottom sides of the air fryer basket with olive oil or canola oil and sprinkle with cornmeal. Score the top of the dough with a large "X" or diagonal lines ¼-½- inch deep with a sharp knife. Place the loaf inside the basket.
Cover the air fryer basket with a damp dish cloth and let rise in a warm place for 45 min - 1 hour, or until risen and puffy.
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-5 minutes. Brush the top of the dough lightly with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil or canola oil (enough to cover). Add the basket of dough to it and air fry for 23-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and hollow when tapped.
Notes
For the most accurate read on air frying temperature, add an oven thermometer to the basket of the air fryer. If you don’t have an oven thermometer, you may need to adjust the air frying time to adapt to the strength of your air fryer. Start keeping an eye on the bread around 20 minutes and add on or subtract time from the recommended air frying time, based on how quickly the bread is reaching the golden brown and hollow-when-tapped stage.
Leftovers keep covered in an airtight container at room termperature. They also can be frozen in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
